Walleye Host Toledo Jeep Fest Night

On Friday, March 9th, nearly 7,000 Jeepers and Toledo Walleye fans visited the Huntington Center for a Toledo Jeep® Fest-themed hockey game against the Quad City Mallards. With a shutout victory over the Mallards, the Walleye secured a playoff spot and brought the heat, while we brought the Jeeps!

During the second intermission, Toledo Jeep Fest teased future festival attendees with an on-ice Jeep parade including the Spicer Parts JK Jeep and Jeep Wranglers from local Jeep club the Glass City Crawlers. For the first time ever, the Walleye had seven motorized vehicles on the ice at one time including our four Jeeps, the Fanboni and 2 Zambonis! “We gave fans and Jeep enthusiasts a small taste of what is to come on the weekend of August 10th, where we will celebrate the rich history of Jeep at the 2018 Toledo Jeep Fest,” said Jerry Huber, Toledo Jeep Fest Chairman.

More than 3,000 unique, free posters were distributed to fans throughout the evening and attendees had the chance to learn more about the upcoming Toledo Jeep Fest on the Huntington Center concourse. Huber continued, “We were lucky to have Fiat Chrysler Automotive’s Product Specialist, Brandon Girmus, with us on Friday. He talked about the new Wrangler features with attendees throughout the evening.”
