Jeep® is fundamental to Toledo’s heritage. Toledo Jeep history begins in 1941 when Willys-Overland won a significant United States Military contract to design the Willys MB, a four-wheel drive utility vehicle that was manufactured throughout World War II. Today, both the iconic Jeep Wrangler and the Jeep Gladiator are being produced in Toledo. The Stellantis Toledo Assembly Complex is one of the region’s largest and most modern manufacturing plants. For more than eight decades, Jeep has been touching the lives of Toledoans, people throughout the United States and even those abroad. In August 2022, the city and its visitors will celebrate that rich history and the 81st anniversary of the Jeep® brand.
